Biography

As a watchmaker and specialist in the repair of antique and vintage pieces, my horological career has spanned nearly four decades.
I trained in Scotland and Germany, and practised horology in Spain for a number of years, but am now based in the UK.
Although a new face at the BHI, I have years of experience in teaching and mentoring students and am looking forward to my courses getting underway at Upton Hall. I think it’s hugely important to help bring on the next generation of horologists, and sharing my passion for watchmaking is something I really enjoy. After all, we were all students once upon a time and so it’s exciting to do my bit to help today’s trainee horologists.

Günter trained in Scotland and Germany and is a watchmaker and specialist in the repair of antique and vintage pieces. His career as an horological has spanned nearly four decades.
