🔎 “I didn’t know you could have a job in this!” ⌚That’s exactly the kind of reaction we love to hear!On 28 September, the BHI attended a Careers Fair at Lincoln University Technical College, introducing students to the fascinating world of horology and the opportunities it offers.Dr Samantha Shave, BHI Education Lead, and Donna Millichamp, Membership and Short Course Administrator, brought along pocket watches, tiny watch movements and hands-on activities to get students curious. From examining movements through a loupe to discovering the many parts that make clocks and watches work, our stand proved incredibly popular with students and staff alike. Many were fascinated to discover that horology could become a career — and that professional training is available right here at the BHI!It was a rewarding day, giving young people a glimpse into a world they may never have considered before.
